Here is what a few nice people say about me and the services I provide
I had the pleasure of attending the 2024 UCAS
Teachers and Advisors conference in Birmingham yesterday.
It was jammed packed with insightful speakers and networking opportunities and provided me with some great takeaways to allow us to better support our students.
I particularly enjoyed the presentation on preparing Careers for Ofstead inspections with Janet Colledge from Outstanding Careers which provided some really useful advice.

We recently had a careers health check conducted by Janet and I am writing to say the standard of review and feedback was of the highest standard.I have followed Janet and the work she does for over a number of years and this has greatly helped develop my professional practice.
I am grateful to Janet for the external review of careers education at Ipswich Academy as this has provided action points to develop our offer for the future as well as reflect on the good practice that is currently happening at the school.
We will continue to internally review and develop our careers programme using the excellent guidance Janet has provided.
Victoria Addiss, Ipswich Academy
Thank you Janet for hosting a great careers training on how careers is a whole school issue. Your training was really engaging and got our staff at SHHS to think about Gatbsy Benchmark four and what they can do.
Thank you so much!
Mariet Serradilla, Careers Leader Sacred Heart High School
When I originally contacted Janet to ask her to be a keynote speaker for an event we were planning in the summer I had no idea what might be happening a few months later!
The pandemic encouraged us to be creative and develop an online event to reach our audience of careers leads and those supporting vulnerable learners, such as care experienced young people.
Janet was able to deliver a very successful keynote session to a broader audience than would normally have been possible. The feedback for the conference was very positive and several delegates referred specifically to Janet's session with comments such as:
'I thought all the speakers were informative - the session from Janet was particularly useful for thinking of forward planning careers work.'
I thoroughly recommend a session from the 'Careers Defender' and hope we can work with her again soon.

I went to the OFSTED training in London. Janet Colledge was an excellent trainer - she's done it and got the t-shirt. Pragmatic support from one careers leader to others.

Here are a few things that the attendees at the mentors of the Teach First careers leader trainees said about my presentation :-
Ofsted talk was hugely useful.
The session from Janet on Ofsted was very useful. It was great to have a session from an external expert and gave me lots of useful information to pass on to my Careers Leaders.
It was fantastic hearing from a sector expert (Janet Colledge) on how the new Ofsted CIF will impact Careers Leaders and our schools - very useful session.
Sector specific training delivered by Janet Colledge was great

It was great to meet you yesterday and thank you for such an informative presentation. I was not surprised to see it was the most well attended one of the day!...
I've been going through my notes with the careers lead of the school I'm in today and she has found them so helpful, really appreciate the amount of time and hard work you put into this. It is certainly making an impact in the schools I work in and no doubt this will be the case across the country. It is highly inspirational and definitely something I am learning from and aspire to do one day so thank you again.

I just wanted to thank you so much for referring me to Janet Colledge. She came in yesterday and made a very thorough assessment of our provision. She then made some very clear and achievable recommendations for improvement. She has been a great support to me in getting me the leverage to improve things across the school.
Our provision is already looking better!
Thanks again

My biggest worry when I took on the responsibility of Careers and IAG at our Academy, only a few weeks ago at the start of May, was how to monitor its effectiveness and how to use any data. Your presentation more than addressed this and I now realise that something that seemed very scary initially is actually quite straightforward and can also be a powerful tool to motivate both staff and students.

A big thank you for all of this (report & information) and the valuable input you gave us on Friday afternoon. I feel so much more confident in this area now and in such a short time.
The additional information you have sent through to me including the subject examples is excellent. I will let you have the feedback and give your information to others as appropriate for a very good consultant as well as using you ourselves of course!

Janet worked with us on a programme of Employability programme for Y13 students. It was carefully devised and expertly delivered as she has a great rapport with young people and paced each session well with a good variety of activities and anecdotes. Throughout the sessions she was always flexible in her approach and reassuring. I am looking forward to working with her again soon.
